Bio:
Awet Sium is a luxury hospitality executive with nearly 30 years of leadership experience across Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, and independent luxury resorts. He currently serves as General Manager of Kimpton Vero Beach Hotel & Spa, where he leads hotel operations, financial performance, owner relations, capital planning, and team development.
Throughout his career, Awet has held leadership roles in Washington, D.C., Palm Beach, Boston, St. Louis, Nevis, Turks and Caicos, and Vero Beach, with experience spanning hotel operations, asset management, pre-openings, renovations, and property turnarounds.
A central focus of his leadership has been developing people and building strong workplace cultures. He has developed future General Managers and department leaders, promoted team members into management roles across properties, and consistently improved employee engagement and guest experience results.
Awet also serves on the AHLA General Manager Committee, contributing to industry discussions around leadership, best practices, and the future of hospitality.
